The primary outcome of the VTCT Level 4 Diploma in Advanced Beauty Therapy is to prepare you to enter the beauty therapy sector as an advanced senior beauty therapist.

Progression on to the level 4 course is possible through study programme depending on whether you are under 19 years before the start of the course. (Further information can be provided through our college)

Overview

The VTCT Level 4 Diploma in Advanced Beauty Therapy is a vocationally related qualification that will prepare you to gain employment as an advanced senior beauty therapist, as the units contained in this qualification cover all the skills and knowledge required for this role.

Entry on to this qualification can be via previous attainment of a beauty therapy qualification at level 3.

This is a vocational qualification which builds on beauty therapy skills to allow you to develop an enhanced repertoire of advanced specialist beauty therapy techniques to prepare you for employment as an advanced senior beauty therapist.

What could this qualification lead to?

This qualification will qualify you to gain employment as an advanced senior beauty therapist. This is the only VTCT qualification in advanced beauty therapy.

Who supports this qualification?

This qualification is based on the Habia National Occupational Standards (NOS) and is recognised by the leading professional association representing owners of hair and beauty salons, the Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT) as being fit for purpose to prepare you for employment as an advanced senior beauty therapist. Holders of this qualification are eligible to become members of FHT. Further information on FHT membership can be found on their website.

Eligibility for our courses

You must not be on a government funded course already. You must have been living in the UK or EU for 3 years or more. You must be the age of a secondary school year 12 or 13 to access this course.

Functional Skills

You may be required to undertake English and Maths Functional Skills level 1 and 2 or GCSE Maths and/or English Language if you do not already hold a GCSE at grade C or 4-9 and above.  As a government requirement, and an essential aspect of the level 2 Junior Beauty Therapist course, you will be required at the time of enrolment, to sit an initial assessment and diagnostic tests.  This allows Reynolds to gauge your level, acknowledge prior achievement and qualification(s) and identify any support that you may need.

Fees

All learners aged 16 to 18 on the 6th Form course will receive full government funding for the Level 2 course (Year 1) Learners aged 16 to 18 at the start of the Level 3 course will receive full government funding for the Level 3 course (Year 2) Learners aged 19+ at the start of the Level 3 course will need to apply for an Advanced Learning Loan to pay the fees  or pay the fees privately.

Entry requirement:

You must be 18 years old or over and you must hold a level 3 qualification in beauty therapy.

Examination process:

You are required to produce a portfolio of evidence which will consist of small assignments plus exams. You will be continually assessed throughout the course where you will practice your skills on clients in a realistic working environment.

Course fee:

The course is £5,421 which can be paid in full, instalments or via the Advanced Learner Loan. This is a government loan that you only have to start repaying when you’re earning over £25,000.

There is a course contribution fee of £200 due on the day of induction you will also be required to purchase uniform as per uniform policy.
