Ruth joined Reynolds Fitness Spa in early January 2011, after suffering a stroke in 2004 which left her paralyzed down her left side. She received physiotherapy for 5 years until the department closed down, since then Ruth has been seeing her general practitioner every 6 months to check her progress, Ruth’s GP thought her health was declining and suggested she joined a gym and obtain further medical advice to help improve her symptoms.
Ruth looked at several gyms in Kent but decided she wanted something a little more private, and somewhere she could get the attention she needed physically and medically to help improve her health and fitness.
After joining Reynolds she was trained by Roi (general manager at Rainham). He made Ruth a programme to ease her into the gym and get her started. After making immediate progress she was put into the trusty hands of Personal Trainer Gemma and over the last 8 months has seen some outstanding results including:
Gemma and Ruth have become good friends, and continue to achieve some encouraging results.
