Sittingbourne’s Member of the Month

Our member of the month for March is Lloyd Brown.

Lloyd was a member of Reynolds at Rainham for over 2 years before transferring to Sittingbourne in May 2008.

Lloyd is currently training for his 2nd London marathon, having succesfully completed the course last year after starting running just a year before when he stopped his 18 year smoking habit. His picture shows him looking a little exhausted having just crossed the finish last year!

Lloyd is determined to beat last year’s time of 5 hours. As well as training in the gym and on the roads, he is currently having extra personal training sessions with Emma Mair to improve his strength and stamina. He is also a regular at Emma’s pilates classes on a Thursday to help solve the knee problems he experienced last year.

This year Lloyd is raising money for Help the Hospices in memory of his Aunt Eunice who was cared for in The Wisdom Hospice, Rochester before losing her long battle with Leukaemia.
